TRAIN THE TRAINER: PLANNING AND DESIGNING GREAT MEETINGS

Many of our most important communications, whether they be informing, deciding, or relationship building, occurs within the context of meetings. Those who plan or design those meetings, learning programs or conferences, are challenged with the task of determining the most effective process to deliver important, often complex, content to a diverse group.  Targeting the session’s goals, optimizing the prioritization and sequence of material, and engaging the participants will together determine much of a meeting’s success. Understanding and applying basic principles of interaction, learning and decision making will help ensure a positive outcome.

THIS PROGRAM helps participantsby providing a flexible step-by step template the participant can apply each time they design a program to ensure a logical and engaging flow.

  • Practice and apply the principles of adult learning.
  • Appropriately match content with delivery method.
  • Increase both creativity in design and interaction quality through use of innovative delivery techniques.
  • Design sessions that will maximize participant involvement and motivation.
  • Prepare effective print materials and facilitator guides.
  • Ensure ongoing application of meeting design techniques long after the program.

  • Learning professionals involved in designing meetings or programs
  • HR professionals involved in developing curricula for employees
  • Managers who need to bring team members up to speed on content and processes
